Visible frame
Sliding pocket doorsFind your solution
The visible frame kit for Enigma fire rated pocket doors is for use with architraves. The frames are manufactured from solid hardwood steamed beech with a density of 720kg/m3 and is a fully FSC certified.
As standard, the timber door frame is provided to you pre-primed ready, meaning on-site painting in your chosen finish and colour can happen at once. Moreover, the frame can be constructed in differing species of timber and with different finishes, at your request. No architraves are included with the timber frame.
The Enigma pocket door system requires a simple wall build-up:
› 94mm stud
› 1 layer 12.5mm plasterboard either side

The sliding pocket door’s strike jamb comes with rubber batwing seals to provide a seal when the door is closed, ensuring that drafts are kept out.

The leading edge jamb of the Enigma pocket door system is the leading support of the pocket which has a side flange for the plasterboard to butt up against.

The intermediate jamb forms the rest of the pocket for the pocket doors. The aluminium profile has a timber insert which provides extra strength and facilitates easy fixing.

The head channel for the Enigma pocket doors is the same width as the stud, making it simple to accurately place and fix to the head stud.

The leading edge and intermediate jambs slot into the base channel of the Enigma pocket door system and are fixed into place.

Manufactured by GEZE, the gear sets used in the Enigma pocket door system require almost no maintenance and are virtually silent, meaning doors slide open and closed without the difficulties sometimes caused by traditional hinges.
The standard sliding gear set is surface-mounted onto the top of the sliding door and is tested to EN 1527 1998 to 100,000 cycles.

The Enigma pocket door kit is constructed from aluminium. This material can be cut-to-size very simply using a standard carpenters chop saw to tailor to your specific size requirements.

The leading edge and intermediate jambs are slotted into the head channel and fixed into place once plumb.

The Enigma doorset has been acoustically tested and can be provided with the following ratings:
› 24dB
› 28dB
› 30dB

Enigma Motus is a powered pocket door that utilises a contactless electromagnetic propulsion system to silently open and close the sliding pocket door with no or minimal handling of the door itself. The visible frames are manufactured from solid hardwood steamed beech with a density of 720kg/m3 and is fully FSC certified and able to accept a wide range of architrave trims. Straightforward to install, Enigma Motus requires a simple wall build-up, which varies depending on fire rating:
NFR:
› 94mm stud
› 1 layer 12.5mm plasterboard either side
FD30:
› 94mm stud
› 2 layers of 12.5mm plasterboard either side

The strike jamb comes with rubber batwing seals to provide a seal when the door is closed.
As the Motus can be supplied as either non fire-rated or fire rated, this detail varies slightly. To see fire rated strike jamb please take a look at the FD30 solution.

The intermediate jamb forms the rest of the pocket. The aluminium profile has a timber insert which provides extra strength and facilitates easy fixing.
